Drop PDB
Oracle
In the previous demo we have learned...[some new feature]
In this part we will learn/create/setup...[some new feature]
You need to navigate to the Cluster area in the left part of the Layout section.
Make sure switch to Database layout to see your PDBs.
Let's initiate the drop for the selected PDB.
Drag the PDB container icon into the Trash icon, allocated right below it.
A new window will appear.
There are two options available:
- Drop this PDB: will drop current PDB and metadata.
- Just delete the database but keep the PDB metadata: will leave the metadata safe.
Please consider to backup this node.
Once a pluggable database is dropped, it cannot be recovered from a RMAN backup.
- Click on the Rest API icon will generate a code you can later use in automation.
To complete the operation, type 'drop me' and click Submit.
Our PDB container has been successfully dropped.
Your configuration path will look like this:
Layout area → Selected PDB container → Drag PDB to Trash → Type 'drop me' → Click Submit
