Register existing CDB

In the previous demo we have learned...[some new feature]
In this part we will learn/create/setup...[some new feature]

You’re in the Layout section. From here, you can register your existing CDB.
Select Add a new cluster button on the right side of the screen. A new window will open.
You will see a numerous database management systems available, choose Oracle and select Next.

Select install mode of cluster as Add existing Instance. You will see a system message:

  • Connect to an existing Oracle instance. The system will register the connection metadata without modifying the current software installation.

Select Next and proceed to the next step.

To register a new CDB you will need to fill the form in its entity.
Some hints will be showing you a pattern to fill usernames and passwords quicker.
When you are done, select Next.

Here you can define the settings for your PDB's.
Cluster size option can be set as Small, Medium, Large and Very Large.
Option Set precise disk allows you to set custom parameters for the disc sizing.

  • Click on the Rest API icon will generate a code you can later use in automation.

Your installation path will look like this:
Layout area → Add a new cluster → Choose node type → Add existing Instance → click Next → Register a new CDB → click Next → click Submit
