Export a PDB

Oracle

In the previous part we learned how to restore a CDB backup.
In this part we will learn how to export an Oracle PDB.

Make sure to switch to the Database layout to see your created PDB's.
In the Inventory area, click the Export/Import menu.
Right now, we don't see any exports available, so let's create one.

Under Export/Import you will see a text Drag any PDB here to start a export.
Drag the PDB instance icon to export it.
A new window will appear.

There are two options available: Export now and Scheduled export.
Export now will create an instant export of your PDB.
Schema option let you include all schemas for export, contained inside selected PDB.
Make sure you have sufficient space available to save your export.
By default it will be stored for 2 days, but you can change it later in configurations.

Scheduled export can be configured for day or week with a chosen time.
Compress option let you save your storage space.
Including data option let you include or exclude the actual data during the restore process later.

Click Next to proceed to the system verification window.
Click Submit to complete your export process.

Your installation path will look like this:
Inventory area → Export/Import → Drag PDB → Export now or Scheduled Export → click Next → click Submit
